Pyramid Press have recently produced a series of printed material for the Schools Advisory Service.
The items were briefed into us over a 3 month period and during this time we had to ensure materials and colours matched throughout the suite of items therefore a keen eye on quality control was essential.
The range consisted of 2 page and 4 page A4 leaflets, questionnaires, CD card holder, an 8 page brochure and a credit card styled membership card.
The plastic membership cards were attached by hand to the front of the ‘Well-being Support & Medical Treatment’ leaflet, not a simple task considering there were 50,000… we enjoy a challenge!
The 8 page brochure contained tabbed pages that required precise die cutting, collating and stitching and our finishers had to ensure the tabs were lined up correctly. This project illustrated Pyramid’s commitment and attention to detail with aplomb, delivering a multifaceted print project within the time schedule and budget, but more importantly, within our client’s expectations.
Not only did we impress our client by delivering the new Shreds Catalogue in 4 days earlier than expected. They were further impressed with the quality of production. Our client commented that they were amazed by the quality of print and how vibrant the colours appeared.
The catalogue comprised of a 4pp Cover on 250gsm Silk and 48pp Text on 150gsm silk, printed in 4 colour process with a satin coat, perfect bound with matt laminate to the cover.
It is always a nice warm feeling when you recieve positive feedback from clients. But when we received this from a new client on delivery of their first job, we were simply delighted. Mark Shipley commented on delivery of his first job
“May I say a huge thank you, the brochure looks absolutely amazing, print quality is on the money and my client is chuffed to bits. Pass on my thanks to the whole team for their input, love and care on the job. I hope they keep up the great work on future orders”.
We certainly intend to keep up the great work on ALL our work.
This Christmas Pyramid Press contributed towards Emmanuel House ‘Cup of Kindness’ Appeal, the generosity of all of our staff raised enough money to serve 104 Christmas Dinners.
Emmanuel House provides support and services for the homeless, disadvantaged and vulnerable in Nottingham City Centre.
Here is another fantastic (and challenging) job Pyramid produced for a new client. A Maltese Cross is never easy to produce, so when the client approached us, wanting one with gold foiling and four die cut apertures, on 350 gsm uncoated board, the challenge was truly on. Not only was our printing skills called upon but all our specialist finishing skills were too. We had to ensure that when folded, all the apertures sat on top of each other without any movement, exposing their logo.
Our new client was equally impressed with our care and attention to their project and commented ‘…they are really super, and well worth waiting for. I know the job has been ‘challenging’ to say the least, but from our point of view well worth it’.
The JCB Mudrun 2012 was a huge success raising over £30,000 on the day. Pyramid’s Mud-Runners pictured here at the start of the 5 mile obstacle course. Jas, Dave, Gary and our late addition to the team Nick raring to go. The course was both mentally and physically challenging, none of us knowing what we had let ourselves in for. We were ‘mudrun virgins’. The twenty obstacles certainly were entertaining, we had to climb over, crawl under, slide down, squeeze through, monkey bar across water, wade through freezing water, each one offering a new challenge. Our favourite obstacle was the ‘quick sand’ if you stood still, you started to sink! We used muscles that we never thought we had! We finished the course in a respectable 1hr 09 mins 38 seconds. We have now set the marker and are looking forward to improve on this next year.
Pyramid Press are proud to announce that we are supporting The JCB Mudrun 12, to help raise funds for The NSPCC. Not only have printed the promotional material for the event, but also the label for the water bottle that will keep the runners hydrated along the 5 mile obstacle course through the wettest and stickiest mud. Our support for the event, does not stop there, we have donated 4 members of staff to set the pace for the run, Jas, Gary, Dave and Mick are extremely excited and looking forward to running, and raising awareness for The NSPCC.
As a company we are dedicated to the task of eradicating cruelty to children and we are delighted to have extended our charity work and supporting what promises to a fun family day out. We will have a few pictures to blog next, so please come back and take a look.
Pyramid Press Carbon Reduction Scheme is well under way with the installation of Intelligent Tamlite HILUX pressroom lighting. Removal of the original 400W metal halide low-bay lighting was a high priority to improve lighting in the Press Room and reduce our energy consumption.
Phase two is schedule to start early 2013.
External LED floodlighting has been installed at the site to further lower Pyramid Press’s energy consumption.
Did you see this article in Printweek? An increasing number of companies are ‘returning’ to print from online promotions. Pat McGrew, HP’s production mail evangelist stated ‘People paid attention to the paper that showed up, not the email’. Whereas The Vinyl Factory’s Creative Director, Sean Bidder, describes the right choice of print as being ‘intrinsic’ to the appeal of the finished record.
