A thank you email, our MD Jonathan Smith received.
Dear Jonathan,
Despite the not particularly good weather we had an enormously successful open gardens/festival on Sunday 14th June and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you for all the wonderful material you provided, both to help us promote the event and for the actual open gardens – not to mention the raffle tickets which were so much smarter than anything we’ve had before and the raffle banner!
As I think you’ve already heard from Jeff, we made over £8,700 which is a fantastic figure to share between the church and the two charities and a lot of this is due to the professional promotional material you kindly make available. Your contribution is greatly appreciated by everyone involved.
With many thanks again and best wishes,
Patrick.
PS I have actually retired as treasurer now but I said I’d do the festival one last time!

Pennine have been manufacturing quality traditional shooting socks and scarfs since 1850. Stepped in tradition, Pennine were looking for a brochure that oozed quality, complimented their traditional manufacturing process and appealed to their clients.
Using uncoated paper for the text, gave this brochure an ambience of quality and tradition, allowing the client to experience a real feeling for their products. The raw aroma of ink on uncoated paper enhances your sense and draws images of bygone quality traditional manufacturing.
The cover is the jewel in the crown. I very simply idea of less is more. Only using foil and a textured material, created a brochure that instantly draws your attention. The claret cord embossed cover material is from the GF Smith Colourplan range, and gives the brochure a sense of modesty, and instantly brings to mind quality, as per the products illustrated in this beautifully crafted brochure.
If you have a product or service that needs that something different, lifting it above the competition, talk to us, and we can offer array of different options to suit every budget.
Not our words, but the words of our client, and who are we to disagree!
Working with DeVol, a manufacturer of handmade and hand painted, unique bespoke kitchens, we printed their latest ‘Classic English Kitchen’ Brochure. Like DeVol, we only use the finest materials coupled with the latest print technology, we produce quality print that draws people’s attention and creates a lasting impression.
The pictures below show various spreads of the brochure, which was printed on a FSC® uncoated stock.
On receipt of the brochures, our client emailed us saying ‘Ijust wanted to say a massive thank you to both of you and your team for another brilliant brochure. It looks absolutely perfect and the attention to detail and colour consistency is brilliant’.
If your current printer is not ‘absolutely perfect’ or is lacking that all-important attention to detail and colours are not consistent, please get in touch and we will be happy to listen and help where we can. Feel free to arrange a site visit, as it’s a real treat to walk through our pressroom, and see our skilled craftsmen at their workstations, the smell of ink, varnish, and paper, and to see beautifully created brochures being produced by people who take great pride in their work.

Over the last 3 months (Aug to Oct) Jas has continued his ‘Deadly 15 Event Challenge’ aiming to run 150 miles over 15 Events aiming to raise £1500 for the homeless charity the Nomad Trust. Adding a further 73 miles to his total.
In August, Jas took on what has been dubbed ‘The World’s Toughest’ obstacle course, Tough Mudder in Leeds. Over 11 miles he negotiated 25 extreme obstacles, include being submerged in tank of ice-cold water, (Artic Enema) and crawling under barbed wire (Slug Crawl). Here he is pictured going through these two obstacles. He enjoyed this so much on completing he booked straight onto another Tough Mudder for May 2015.
In September, he ran another 10-mile obstacle course, ‘Dash of the Titan’. After Tough Mudder and the Dirty Weekend, this was a little tame. Here is a couple of pictures from the course.
His second challenge in September was his worse fear, the Ikano Nottingham Robin Hood Marathon, 26.4 miles in the blazing sunshine. Having ran a couple of half marathons; this was a real test for him. He completed it in 4 hours 28mins, and 05 sec, finishing 889th out of 1495 runners of the full marathon. A little disappointed, he was aiming for a sub 4-hour time. Here are two pictures of him on the course.
Two weeks later, he ran a trail marathon, The Spires and Steeples, 26 miles, starting at Lincoln Castle, and finishing at the National Arts and Craft Centre in Sleaford, his hometown. He was welcomed over the finishing line by family and friends, and was rewarded with several pints Guinness. The Spires and Steeples run took him over is target of 150 miles within 13 Events. Here he is coming over the finishing line.
To date Jas ran 157 miles in 13 Events. He has the Leicester Half Marathon to race on 26th Oct, and then one more to arrange.
Is print really dying? Not according to IKEA, After all, the company prints around 200 million of its catalog every year in 27 languages for 38 countries. That’s more than twice the number of bibles produced in a given year.
But is a print catalog too low-fi for the high-tech age? Again, not according to IKEA, who has rolled out an amusing promo for the 2015 catalog. The promo slyly suggesting that print is actually a wondrous technology that equals the power of digital media.
The campaign, by BBH Asia Pacific, invites you to “experience the power of a book” and rediscover “the original touch interface.” Amazing features include “eternal battery life” and pages that “load instantly, with zero lag.” As the charmingly on-screen narrator says: “It’s not a digital book, or an e-book. It’s a bookbook™.”
So next time you think an App or an e-shot will do, think again and fall in love with ‘the original touch interface’. Contact us, and we can help you create something beautiful, tactile, portable, shareable and easy to navigate through.
