We want apprentices to play a key role in our workforce, bringing energy, new fresh ideas and raw talent into the business.
In return we provide the training and work experience that starts new careers in the right way, properly structured – right for the candidates and right for the company.
Well this morning was the first of Jas’ fifteen events to run 150+ miles throughout 2014. The Rauceby Ripper was 12.5K trail run, his first ever trail run. This is part of his mission to raise £1,500 for The Nomad Trust.
New research into consumers’ attitudes to print marketing has revealed that 79% of consumers act on direct mail immediately. Titled ‘From Letterbox to Inbox 2013’, the study found that consumers regarded direct mail and other printed communications as being essential to their overall experience of brands.
Among the conclusion of the print-tracking study was the fact that 10% more consumers visited a brand’s website in response to direct mail rather than an email. Also, half those surveyed said they had retained printed items, with 17% saying they did so regularly.
Respondents also highlighted the essential role direct mail plays within their lives as consumers, with 56% saying they found print marketing to be the ‘most trustworthy’ of media channels.
“People continue to value direct mail and printed communications from brands, finding it offers qualities not found in other comms and is an essential part of the overall brand experience” explains Rachel Aldighieri, Director of Communications and Insights at the DMA. “Many people today could easily choose to conduct their lives entirely online, but they don’t. For brands to market effectively in a truly connected world, they must fully recognise the role that print comms play, and will continue to play for many years to come”

Selecting the right quantity to print is always tricky to judge. You don’t want to print too many and see your money wasted, nor do you want to print too few and miss out on opportunities.
Using Pyramid’s latest digital print technology we can print a small amount, for you to gauge your audience. We can personalise every copy for you, too. For a several clients we have digitally printed their brochure prior to launch of the litho-printed, to identify potential success rates. This allows them to make any necessary amendments. The photo below shows a few instances, that clients have printed a small digital run prior to a larger litho run.
Let Pyramid Press help you spend less more wisely whilst maximize your print budget. One of the main benefits using Pyramid Press is that we offer both digital and litho, print given you an all encompassing service.
When our client needed advice to produce a box to house their cards and envelopes, the gloves certainly came off in our studio!
Endless prototypes, with differing apertures and opening methods, were produced on various folding box boards were presented to the client.
The end box was printed on our Indigo digital press, allowing for the client to gage the demand for their product, before printing 1000’s on our Heidelberg litho press. Printing a small run digitally had many benefits for our client, including lower unit costs on small quantities, personalising every copy, and an opportunity to test the market and make any necessary changes if required, prior to mass production.
Our client was knocked out, by our ability to engineer a creative solution to their problem and commented “We approached Gary Clayton, Pyramid Press with our rough box designs and initial designs. Pyramid Press were more than happy to help us fulfill our goal, they helped construct a more refine net that produced a better-finished product but without hindering our designs. Different options for printing were discussed and the company were very attentive when working with us to create a card box we wanted. Overall we were more than happy with the finished product and the service Pyramid Press provided and would look to them with any new ideas we have for future products”
We are always looking to produce something different, so get in touch with us, and see how creative we can get with paper and board.
